The Modulix platform
One suite, 24 modules, a single foundation
Modulix brings CRM, sales, finance, purchasing, inventory and productivity together in one system. Each module does one job well, and all of them share the same records, permissions, audit log and API.
Modules
Every module, by area
Turn on any combination. A module that needs another brings it along, and turning one off keeps its data.
CRM
Contacts and companies, Leads, and Opportunities with pipelines and a forecast.
CRM in detailSales
Sales (quotations, orders, invoices and payments), Pricing and Taxes.
Sales in detailFinance
Accounting, Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Banking, Expenses, Tax management and Financial reporting.
Finance in detailPurchasing & inventory
Purchasing (suppliers and purchase orders), Product catalog, and Inventory with warehouses, stock and transfers.
Purchasing & inventory in detailProductivity & automation
Activities and tasks, Notes, Documents, Forms, Workflow automation and Notifications.
Productivity in detailPlatform & administration
Custom fields and Organization structure, on top of users, roles, the audit log, settings and the API.
Administration in detail
One foundation
Modules that share everything
Modulix has a deliberately small core: identity, organizations, permissions, settings, navigation and module management. Every business capability is a module built on that core, the first-party ones included.
That is why a lead converts into a contact, a company and an opportunity without copying, a quotation becomes an order and then an invoice with the same lines, and an issued invoice reaches the ledger the moment it is issued.
One database
Every module reads and writes the same records.
One permission model
Roles cover every module, down to own or team records.
One audit log
Changes from every module, with values before and after.
One API
Every module's endpoints in the same versioned REST API.
Modules
6 of 24 enabled
- CRM
- Sales
- Accounting
- Banking
- Purchasing
- Inventory
- Expenses
- Tax returns
- Automation
Turn a module on when you need it. No migration, no downtime.
Everyday use
Find anything in a few keystrokes
Press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) to search contacts, companies, leads, invoices and other records across every enabled module, jump to any page or start an action such as a new quotation or journal entry. Results only include what you are allowed to see.
Inside a module, every list has the same search, filters, sorting, columns and saved views, and you can share a view with your team.

Accountability
Every change, on the record
The audit log records sign-ins, changes to records, settings, roles and users, exports and refused access: who acted, when, from which IP address and, for changes, the values before and after. Entries cannot be changed or deleted, not even by owners.

In every module
Built in, not bolted on
Roles and record scopes
Group permissions into roles and limit them to a person's own records, their team's or all records.
Audit log
A permanent record of who did what, when and from where, with before and after values.
Custom fields
Add your own fields to contacts, companies, users and more. They appear in forms, lists, imports and the API.
Import and export
Bring records in from CSV or Excel with column matching, and export any list.
Saved views
Save a list's search, filters, sort and columns, and share it with everyone.
Notifications
In the app, by email and as browser push, with daily or weekly email digests.
Four languages
English, French, German and Spanish, with dates and amounts in each person's format.
Several organizations
One account can belong to several organizations, each with its own data, users and settings.
API and webhooks
Everything in the app is available over the REST API, and webhooks report changes as they happen.

Modulix is a modular business suite, an ERP and CRM in one, for small and mid-sized businesses. It covers CRM, sales, finance, purchasing, inventory and the tools around them (tasks, documents, forms, workflows and notifications) in 24 modules that share one database, one permission model, one audit log and one API. Zantrey is the company that makes it.
No. Each organization turns on only the modules it needs, and you can enable more later without downtime or data migration. When a module needs another one (Banking needs Accounting, for example), Modulix enables the dependency for you. Turning a module off hides it but keeps its data: turn it back on and everything is where you left it.
Yes. Modulix runs as two stateless services (an API and a web server) in front of PostgreSQL or MySQL, with Docker images, a Docker Compose file and a Helm chart for Kubernetes. If you would rather not operate it yourself, Zantrey Cloud hosting is available by arrangement. Talk to us about which fits you.
Most lists import CSV or Excel files with column matching and a report of the rows that could not be imported (up to 50,000 rows per file). Imports can add new records or update existing ones, and remember the ID each record had in your old system. Bank statements import from CSV, OFX or QFX files. Every list can also be exported to CSV or Excel, so your data never gets stuck.
Everything the web app does goes through a documented REST API with an OpenAPI description. Integrations authenticate with API keys or OAuth client credentials, limited to the permissions you choose, and signed webhooks notify your other systems when records change, with automatic retries. See the developer overview.
The interface is available in English, French, German and Spanish. Each person chooses their language and time zone, and numbers and amounts follow their format. Quotations, invoices and statements can be sent in any of the four languages, whatever language the sender uses.
Modulix prepares GST/HST and VAT returns from your general ledger and, when you file them, closes the period's tax accounts into what you owe or are owed. It does not send returns to the tax authority: you file on the authority's own portal, then mark the return as filed and record the payment in Modulix.
Yes, and we would rather say so up front. Modulix has no payroll, manufacturing or point-of-sale module today, and single sign-on is not built in yet. Many teams keep a specialist payroll service and record its totals in the ledger. If you need something specific, the module SDK lets you build your own module on the same foundation.
